Troubleshoot Fingbox: Reset or Power Cycle Fingbox

Reset Fingbox

To reset your Fingbox, do this:

1. Unplug the Fingbox power adaptor from the wall outlet.
2. Find the RESET hole/button beside the Fingbox power port.
3. Gently insert a paperclip in the RESET hole. Alternatively, if you have a reset button in the back, press the RESET button.
4. While keeping the RESET button gently pressed, plug the power adaptor back in.
5. Keep the RESET button pressed for 30 seconds and release, or until a single white light flashes on the device. You should now see a single white light on.
6. After a few seconds, the top circle will start flashing, while the original factory software is loaded.  This process lasts for a few minutes (~3 min).  A single white light will mark the end of the process.
7. Power off the Fingbox.
8. Wait 5 seconds.
9. Power the Fingbox back on.

When the Fingbox powers back on, your Fingbox should operate as normal.

Note: When you press the reset button, the data and settings associated with Fingbox are deleted. However, the account is still accessible with the same email as it was originally connected. If you want to change the email, you need to contact Fing. Fing will verify the user and account; then Fing will change the email for the Fingbox account. This process ensures other users may not try to reset the original account and use the Fingbox.
