Troubleshoot Fing Desktop: Device Not Recognized Correctly

If your device was not recognized correctly, do this.

  1. From the Dashboard, select Overview > Devices tab on the left navigation bar.
  2. Select a device.
  3. Scroll down to Did Fing get it right? and click the red No button with the thumbs down.

    The Improve recognition page is displayed. Here, you can do one of these steps:

    • Click Automatic and scan the QR code from your device. Alternatively, there is a web address under the QR code; go to this web address in your browser.
    • Click Manual and manually enter the product details for the device
