Fing Desktop will not load or open
If the Fing Desktop app does not load or open, first confirm you have the latest version of Fing Desktop. If you have, complete the following steps depending on which platform you are using:
Fing Desktop on Windows
Check to see if the Fing Application is running minimized or in the background. You can do this by checking the small icons on the bottom right side of the navigation bar near the system clock and date information, or selecting the ^ icon to display the small icons. If the Fing icon is shown, it is running mimimized. To make it run in full screen (or normal mode), do this on the Fing App.
- From the desktop dashboard left side navigation menu, select your name and display the drop-down menu.
- Select Preferences to display the App Preferences window.
- Disable the toggle HIde Window at Boot.
- Enable the toggle Launch Fing at Boot.
MAC
Check the MAC settings if required permissions are enabled for Fing Desktop. To do this:
- Go to System Preferences
- Go to Security and Privacy
- Enable Fing Desktop in the Full Disk Access and Files and Folders sections
This will load up all features and Fing desktop.
