The Fing Workspace Dashboard provides a centralized view to supervise and manage all your networks efficiently in one place. Whether you're monitoring a handful of networks or overseeing hundreds across multiple clients or locations, the dashboard gives you full visibility and powerful tools to stay organized and proactive.
What the Dashboard Does
The dashboard offers a comprehensive overview of all networks associated with your Fing account, helping you:
- Monitor network health and status in real-time
- Identify issues quickly, such as outages or offline critical devices
- Drill down into network details as needed
- Apply bulk actions for easy organization
To help you focus only on what matters, the dashboard provides several advanced filters.
Workspace Filter
Use the Workspace dropdown to display networks from selected Workspaces, including, your Personal Workspace and shared or client Workspaces you have access to
This allows you to group and manage networks by client, project, or region with ease.
Data Source Filter
Use the Data Source dropdown to filter networks based on how they are monitored: Fing Agent, Fing Desktop, Fingbox, Manual Scan.
This is useful when managing different types of deployments or verifying where monitoring is active.
Free-Text Search
The search bar enables flexible, full-text search across both the network's metadata and all devices within the network. A few example use cases :
- Find devices by brand: Type "Samsung" to locate networks with Samsung devices;
- Find specific models: Enter "TP200" to find where a specific camera model is installed;
- Search by device type: Type "Printer" or "Streaming Dongle" to find relevant networks;
- Group by location: Search for "Austin" or another city to align service visits efficiently based on location
Pre-Made Use Case Filters
To streamline your workflow, the dashboard includes a set of ready-to-use filters:
- Outdated and Offline
Find networks that haven't been monitored recently—useful for identifying power or internet outages, or clients needing a check-in. - New Devices
Spot networks that have added new devices in the last 7 days, which could indicate growth, changes, or potential security concerns. - Critical Devices Offline
Highlight networks where a device with high Operational Criticality is currently offline. This includes essential business devices like POS systems, Smart home controllers (e.g., smart thermostats or A/C units), Connectivity devices (e.g., WiFi extenders)
Dive Into Network Details
From the dashboard, simply click on any network to select it and view its full details — including:
- Device list and status
- Historical data and events
- Monitoring source
- Internet performance
- Configuration and tagging
