Fing provides a historical overview of all the events that happened on your network. A network event is any activity or change on your network, and usually is about a device coming online or going offline. Here is an example of an event Indicating that an XBOX came online 5 minutes ago.
Show Recent Network Event Using Fing Mobile App or Fing Mobile App Controlled Agent or Monitoring Unit
- From Overview, click the Online devices widget or the blue See devices button
- Click the Network tab
- Select Manage this Network > Events (with the grey clock icon beside it) to get a full log of recent events that happened on your network.
- Click any event to see details about it.
Show Network Event and Timeline on Fing Web App
To show network events on Fing Web App, do this:
Select Timeline from the Web App left navigation bar or select the Timeline card on the lower right hand side of the dashboard home screen.
A list of recent events and the timeline for each event and its duration is displayed. In this example, the device called kitchen dot went offline on November 5 at 8:37 am, and the Apple device came online on November 6, at 8:46 am.
Show Network Events Using the Fing Desktop
- From Overview, click the Network tab in the left sidebar.
- Click the blue View timeline button at the top right of the page. You will get a full log of recent events that happened on your network.
- Click any event to see details about it.
View Network Events on Fing Web App (Classic Version)
To view recent network events on the Fing Web App, do this.
On the homepage, select your current network context name (home, office, etc) listed on the top horizontal menu. Network and event information is displayed.
