Manage Device Inventory

You can view or make changes to your device inventory including changing device names and icons, and rmoving devices.

View Device List

Select Devices from the left navigation menu or click the Connected Devices card to display your device inventory.   Select Edit Columns, and then select Apply to view more (Technical) or less (Simplified) device information.

Name or Rename Devices

Organize your device list by naming the devices on your network. To do this, click any device on your device list, and then select the Edit button.   You can enter or change name, location, and other details for your device.

Name or Rename Device Icons

To rename a device icon, select the device name under the network name and then select a new icon from the list displayed.

Fing Web App

To change the name or location of your device, do this:

1. From the left navigation pane, select Devices or click on the Selected Devices Card.  The Devices page is displayed.
2. Select a device from the list and click Edit in the top right window as shown here. The Edit device details pop-up window prompts you to enter a name, location, and other information.
3. Complete the device details, and click Apply.

Fing Mobile App

To name or rename a device on Fing Mobile app, do this:

1. Select Online Devices from the dashboard to see your device list.
2. Select any device from the list to show the Device Detail page.
3. Select Edit from the top right corner of the Device Detail page.

Click Edit at the top left of the page.  Enter the device name and location, and then click Save in the top right corner of the screen.

Remove a Device from the Device List

Fing Mobile

• From Overview, click the Devices widget or the blue See Devices button
• Click the device you want to remove. This will bring you to that device's Device detail page.
• Scroll down to the heading Manage this device and click the blue Remove device button
