You can view or remove both monitored and manually scanned unmonitored networks using Fing Web App, including networks scanned on the Fing Mobile App, Fing Desktop, or Fing Web App. You cannot remove or view a previously scanned network directly from Fing Desktop.
View monitored and scanned networks on Fing App
To view monitored networks on Fing App, select the drop-down menu beside the network name to display monitored and previously scanned networks. Currently monitored networks are denoted as Connected in green. Previously scanned networks are denoted in blue with the latest date the network was active.
Remove a Monitored Network using Fing Web App
To remove a monitored network on Fing App, you have to deactivate it first.
After you deactivate or disable the network, select Manage > Delete the Network from the top right menu.
If the Delete option is not shown, you may need to refresh the Fing App or confirm that you have deactivated the network first.
Remove or Delete a Manually Scanned or Unmonitored Network using Fing Web App
To delete a manually scanned or monitored network from Fing Web App, do this:
- Select the drop-down menu beside the network name in the top-left part of the Fing Web App dashboard to display the list of monitored (green) and scanned networks (in blue).
Select the manually scanned network in blue that you want to remove. The selected network is displayed.
Select Manage > Delete this Network from the top right menu. You are prompted to confirm that you want to delete the network.
- Select Delete the Network to remove the network.
View your Network from Fing Mobile App
To see your monitored and manually scanned networks on Fing Mobile, from the dashboard, click on the ellipsis (3 dots) on the top right side of your Fing mobile screen.
The discovered and active network is the one that is being continuously monitored shown under Monitored Networks. In the example below, the network VM7702547 is being continuously monitored. The networks listed below VM7702547 are inactive and not being monitored. When a network is inactive, you can make it active by turning on or reconnecting the Fing Agent or Fingbox.
Remove a Monitored Network on Fing Mobile
Select the network and swipe left to remove a network, and then click on the Deactivate icon next to the network name.
You are prompted to confirm that you want to deactivate.
Click on Deactivate to confirm that you want to delete the monitored network.
Remove a Previously Scanned Network from Fing Mobile App
To remove a previously or manually scanned network from Fing Mobile, under Manual Scans, select the network you want to remove and swipe left. Then select the delete icon.
