Download and Install Fing

You can download/install Fing on these devices. 

• Windows PC or Laptop
• Mac OS
• IOS Phone or Device
• Android Phone
• Web

You can optionally also install a Fingbox Fing Agent or other monitoring unit that is controlled from the Fing App version.   This configuration provides additional security features. 

Supported Software

Fing is supported on these software versions:

• Any version of Windows within its extended support lifetime to the current version
• MacOS 12.0 (Monterey) and later   
• iOS 12.1 and later
• Android 5.1 and later.

Windows Desktop/Laptop

To download or install Fing on a Windows laptop/PC, follow this link:

The Fing download screen is displayed with options to download on Windows or MacOS.

Select the Get it for Windows button to download Fing on a Windows laptop or PC.  The Fing app is dowloaded into the Downloads file on your laptop or PC.

Open your Downloads file (usually located in File Explorer) and select the Fing file or executable to install.

Accept the licensing agreement and click Finish to complete the installation.

The Network Dashboard is displayed as shown in this example.

MAC OS

To download or install Fing on a Windows laptop/PC, follow this link:

The Fing download screen is displayed with options to download on Windows or MacOS.

Click Get it for MacOS. 

When prompted, click Install to start the installation.   You will be prompted to drag and drop the Fing icon into the Application folder.

Phone (iOS or Android)

To download or install Fing on a mobile phone, follow this link:

From the Fing homepage, select the Get it from Play Store for your Android device on  Google Play or the Get it from App Store  for your IOS device in the App Store.

Follow the prompts to accept the download.  After the download is complete, the Fing Network Dashboard screen is displayed. 

Web App

To install the Fing Web App (a web version of the application), follow this link:

www.fing.com

From the Fing homepage, select Get Started in the top right corner.  Sign into your Fing account using your Google or other email credentials.  The web network dashboard (limited view) is displayed as in this example.

Install Fing Agent or Raspberry PI Monitoring Unit

You can also use the Fing mobile App to control a Fing Agent, Raspberry PI, or other monitoring unit. This will give you additional security features.

Install Fingbox

You can add a Fingbox to add security features, and control them from the Fing App.  

Install your Fingbox into your Router

1. Plug the network cable into the left slot in the Fingbox unit
2. Plug the power cable into the middle slot in the Fingbox unit
3. Plug the network cable into your router
4. Plug the power cable into a power socket/plug near your router

The circular light on the top of the Fingbox will turn green. This may take up to 15 minutes.

Connect your Fingbox to the Fing App

1. Open the Fing Mobile App and click Account in the toolbar at the bottom of the page
2. Scroll down and click Add Fingbox (under App Settings)
3. Click the Configure button
4. Select where your fingbox is located (Home, Office)
5. Click Done

Once configured, the circular light on the top of the Fingbox turns blue.
