Why do I need a Fing account to use Fing Desktop and Fing Desktop Starter/Premium?
The reason you need to create a Fing account is network data is synchronized with your Fing account and Fing Desktop. Like Fing Mobile App and Fingbox, Fing Desktop leverages our device recognition service in our cloud servers. To do this, Fing Desktop needs to contact the Fing services. This is why Fing Desktop needs a sign-in to work.

When an updated version of Fing Desktop is released, open Fing Desktop and you will get an automatic update. Automatic updates may take up to 8 hours after the release.

Yes, we will continue to add more features to Fing Desktop. These features will assist our users based on their requirements for Fing Desktop. For Fing Desktop’s current features, we have completed beta tests with large groups of users, and take their feedback and suggestions.
