You can manage your Fing Account, change personal information, delete your account, customize Fing account settings, for example, how notifications are received and in which language and timezone, and see or change your subscription plan from the account and profile page.
Manage your Account
To view or change your profile or account, click your initial on the lower left navigation bar on the Fing dashboard, and then select Edit Profile from the drop-down menu.
The Manage Account window is displayed. Use the top level menu on this window to do these tasks:
- View your personal information.
- Change your password.
- Delete your account.
- See or change your subscription level.
- View or add monitoring agents.
- View active sessions or connections and 3rd party apps if available.
- Set Fing notification and communication preferences.
Profile Setup
Select Profile Setup from the top level menu to add or change your personal information, change your password or delete your account.
When you select Delete Account, you will be prompted to confirm that you want to delete your account.
The Technical Background section in the lower part of the window lets you tell us about your technical comfort level and provide your job and company information. If you select the IT Expert option, you will also have to enter a job role in the Job Role field.
Subscription Plan
Select the Subscription Plan option on the top level menu to view or change your current active plan.
Monitoring Agents
Select Monitoring Agents to see your used and availble monitoring agent slots, the agent model, its MAC address, network name and when it was last updated. If you need additional slots, select Upgrade your plan to add more agents. Desktop agents are not included in the monitoring agent count plan allocation.
Signed-in Sessions
The Signed-in Sessions window shows your active sessions or connections, device type and model, platform and version, date the device first entered the network, and the last update. If you have Third Party Apps configured, you will also see that information.
Notifications
Select Notifications from the Manage Account top-level menu to manage which Fing notifications you want to recieve and how you want to receive them (email, alerts). Notifications are network and device alerts configured through the Network Alerts section or communications from Fing Marketing configured through the Stay in the Loop section. You can choose which alerts or notifications you want to receive by using the Enable/Disable toggle switches beside each option.
Region Settings
In the Region Settings section, you can set or change lanaguage, timezone, and location. Use the drop-down menus in the Language and Time zone field to select your language or time zone.
Network Alerts
In the Network Alerts section, you can manage notifications and alerts, including Fing network event emails, mobile alerts, and emails about network insights.
- Email address for alerts: to enter up to 5 additional email addresses, separate by commas and no spaces.
- Email format--you can select a single email for each event or a group email with multiple events.
- Alert Mobile Notification--enable to receive a mobile alert for each event.
- Network Insights--enable to receive an email with the latest news and insights about your network.
- Internet Service Provider--select your Internet Service provider from the drop-down list.
- ISP Outage Alert--enable to receive an email and notification when your ISP experiences an outage.
Stay in the Loop
The lower section of the screen lists product and content updates that you can select to receive.
- Product Updates and News--Select to receive new product feature updates and interesting news.
- Promotional Offers--Select to receive seasonal offers, discounts, and referral bonuses
- Recommendations--Select to receive personalized suggestions on networks, devices, and software.
- Home Tech Distillery - Weekly Newsletter: Enable to receive a weekly update of tips and news about the world of technology.
- Home Tech Distillery - Monthly Newsletter: Enable to receive a monthly summary of the latest news from the Tech distillery.
- Feedback - Enable to recieve user research and marketing surveys.
- Beta Program--Enable to get early access to upcoming features and releases.
