Recent Network Events

Fing provides a historical record of all the events that happened on your network.   A network event is any activity or change on your network, and usually is about a device coming online or going offline. Events are viewed in a sequential format and viewed and managed through the Timeline feature.

Show Network Events Using the Fing Desktop

To see recent network events, select Timeline from the Dashboard navigation menu to display the Timeline page.

Show Network Event and Timeline on Fing Web App

To show network events on Fing Web App, do this:

Select Timeline from the Web App left navigation bar or select the Timeline card on the lower right hand side of the dashboard home screen.  

A list of recent events and the timeline for each event and its duration is displayed.  In this example, the device called kitchen dot went offline on November 5 at 8:37 am, and the Apple device came online on November 6, at 8:46 am.

Show Recent Network Event Using Fing Mobile App 

From Overview or the dashboard, and then click the Timeline of Events to display a sequential list of network events.

 

Click any event to see details about it.
