Configure Agent Settings

You can manage important Fing agent network configurations, including deep scanning and using slow network discovery.

You can use the Fing Web App to manage these configurations and changes.   For activating a Fing agent or viewing monitored networks, see Activate or View Active Fing Agents.

Deep Scan:  Deep scan allows you to collect additional details and improve device recognition (Fing Web App).

Adjust LED Brightness (Fingbox Only)

Do Not Disturb (Fingbox Only): Disables visual LED Indicators and signals.

Slower Network Discovery:  If your home network becomes slow when you are using Fing, you can use the Slow Network Discovery feature. This uses a slower scan that should not interfere with your devices or network speed.

Local API: The Local API feature allows you o connect third party apps to Fing

Examples of third party apps include home assistant and smart homes. Users can link these apps to Fing Desktops to automate tasks and get information from scans to their apps.  See Connect 3rd Party Apps to Fing (Local API) for information on configuring Local API.
